A Promise is a Promise is a collaboration between visual artists Sandra Bromley, Steven Csorba and iHuman Youth Society. Under guided mentorship, iHuman youth will design, mount and deliver an outdoor public art installation with a compelling story about accountability to the things that are important. A Promise is a Promise will weave imagined themes into a multi-layered art piece that illuminates the importance of living up to and adhering to a promise spoken, made or indeed, implied. The iHuman youth will determine the resulting installation, incorporating elements of street art, dimensional and textural elements, creating a dynamic collaborative artwork. The visitors will be able to engage with the installation, in turn contributing their own statement of accountability to the what matters most to each of us, resulting in a legacy Promise wall.

iHuman Youth Society is a non-profit organization that engages Edmonton’s traumatized youth who exhibit high-risk lifestyles, to foster positive personal development and social change.
